Arizona Cardinals vs San Francisco 49ers Live Streaming
The San Francisco 49ers host the Arizona Cardinals, Monday Dec 14, as the Niners look to catch up to the Cardinals atop the NFC West. The Cardinals have won six of the last nine meetings.
The Cardinals (8-4) beat Minnesota 30-17 at home in Week 13 and sit atop the NFC West. QB Kurt Warner made 22 of 32 passes for 285 yards with three TD’s; overall he’s thrown for 3,003 yards with 23 TD’s and 11 interceptions for a 97. 2 passer rating. RB Timothy Hightower had six carries for 50 yards, while WR Larry Fitzgerald made eight catches for 143 yards with a TD. WR Anquan Boldin made seven catches for 98 yards with two TD’s. Their defense held the Vikings runners to 62 yards; they pulled down two interceptions and had two sacks on the day. Over his last four games, QB Kurt Warner has put up some unbelievable numbers, he has a 120-plus passer rating in four games with 12 TD’s and no interceptions . The Niners have the league’s 27th-ranked pass defense and they’ll be up against the Cardinals fifth ranked pass game. WR Larry Fitzgerald leads their receiving core with 969 yards receiving and 10 TD’s. The Cards don’t run the ball a lot with their 26th ranked ground game and they’ll be against the Niners tough fifth ranked rush defense. RB Beanie Wells leads NFC rookies with four rushing TDs. The Cardinals have averaged 22. 7ppg and allowed 16. 7ppg in their last three games. They are 5-1 SU on the road where they average 26. 8ppg and give up an average15. 2ppg. They are 8-4 ATS and 4-8 over/under.
The Niners (5-7) lost at Seattle 17-20 in Week 13 and sit second in the NFC West. QB Alex Smith made 27 of 45 passes for 310 yards with two TD’s; overall he’s thrown for 1,577 yards with 13 TD’s and seven interceptions for a 86. 7 passer rating. RB Frank Gore had nine carries for a low 25 yards, while TE Vernon Davis made six catches for 111 yards with a TD. WR Josh Morgan also added a TD. Their defense had four sacks on the day. The Niners 28th ranked running game, led by RB Frank Gore’s 668 yards rushing and nine TD’s, won’t get far against the Cardinals 12th ranked rush defense . RB Gore has been held scoreless in his last three games. The Niners have gone to more of a spread attack in recent weeks, and QB Alex Smith has been the primary beneficiary. Despite his impressive stats he has yet to lead his team to many victories. His next step will come by delivering in the clutch. The Niners should be able to move down field with their 22nd ranked pass game, led by TE Vernon Davis’ 781 yards receiving and 10 TD’s, against the Cards 30th ranked pass defense. TE Davis has a TD in his last three games. The Niners have averaged 20. 3ppg and allowed 17. 7ppg in their last three games. They are 4-2 SU at home where they average 20. 8ppg and allow 16. 3ppg. They are 7-3-2 ATS and 5-7 over/under.
Recent Trends to Consider:
* Cardinals are 4-0 ATS in their last 4 meetings in San Francisco. * Underdog is 6-1 ATS in their last 7 meetings. * Road team is 8-0 ATS in their last 8 meetings. * Cardinals are 6-1 ATS in their last 7 road games. * Cardinals are 4-1 ATS in their last 5 games overall.

Summer is slowly turning to fall and the heat and humidity here in New England we complained about for the last 3 or 4 months will soon turn to dry, bitter cold. Heating bills arrive, along with colds and the flu, shovels take the place of rakes, snowthrowers replace lawn mowers. The days of the leisurely barefoot stroll to the mailbox are over. For some of us, winter means hibernation like so many of natureâs creatures. There are those who venture south though. Where the sun is a little higher in the sky, the nightly temperatures donât drop below 40 and the skyâs are not cloudy all day. With the weather patterns not being favorable to the south and southeast lately, one of the more inviting spots in America is the desert southwest. I had a chance to spend some time in Phoenix, Arizona a few years back and I can honestly say that wintering in Phoenix is high on my list of todoâs. I rode my bicycle year round, never once touched a snow shovel in the entire time I was there, and could usually walk barefoot to my mailbox. And because I stayed active the whole year, I never piled on those âwinter poundsâ. Yes, life was good. With an average yearly temperature of just under 73 degrees, Phoenix enjoys what most of us have only read about. July and August averages top out in the low 90âs. In the dead of winter, while we are scraping windshields before we can drive to work, Phoenicians are enjoying temps in the low 50âs. Thatâs light jacket weather for those of us closer to the North Pole. The city of Phoenix is situated in a valley in the heart of the Sonoran Desert with the Great Basin and the Rocky Mountains to the northeast and the aptly named South Mountain to the south. Itâs comfortably nestled in this crib at an elevation of about 1100 feet above sea level. Except for a few local outcroppings, the area is flat as an ironing board and if you climb one of the local mountains, Camelback, Superstition Mountains (love that name!) or Phoenix Mountain for instance, youâre treated to a spectacular view hundreds of miles in every direction. Voted one of the top 10 safest cities by Risk and Insurance Magazine back in 2005 because of the unlikely event of natural disaster, the biggest concern for residents is the summer heat. The locals bask in the glow of the sunâs rays an average of 211 days a year, we might see 90 if weâre lucky. I personally donât count the day as sunny if you canât feel the heat. That brings that 90 number way down in my book. Outdoor activities abound in Phoenix. More hiking trails, parks and preserves than you can count. Hundreds of miles of canals make perfect bike paths. Of course youâll have to share a lane with the runners or even an occasional horse but itâs sheer joy under the fair, blue skies. The only precaution is to make sure you bring water. Thatâs true for almost any outdoor activity in Phoenix. With the dry climate you may not be aware of how much youâre perspiring and you can quickly dehydrate without realizing it. For those hearty soles who donât mind traveling a few miles, the Grand Canyon is just North of Phoenix. Daily tours are available for anyone wanting to hike or maybe take a mule ride down into the canyon. You wonât be sorry â anyone whoâs been can attest to the spectacular views along the trails or even up top at the rim. Thereâs even a new attraction called the Grand Canyon Skyway. Dangling precariously over the South Rim, it places those who dare 70 feet out into the canyon. From nearly a mile up, about 4,000 feet, it provides a glimpse of what the falcons and eagles might see as they hunt prey from their lofty heights. For the golf enthusiast, there are over 200 courses to challenge you and many of the PGA and LPGA tournaments are held in Phoenix. If speed is your thing, Phoenix International Raceway (PIR) hosts Indy Car and NASCAR. Of course swimming is high on everyoneâs list and thereâs no lack of water in Phoenix in spite of its desert location. There are no less than 6 lakes within an hour and a half of the city including Apache Lake, Lake Pleasant, Canyon and Saguaro each offering boating, sailing and fishing. There are more boat owners per capita in Arizona than any of the other 49 states. Professional sports isnât forgotten in the Valley of the Sun. There are 8 professional teams including the Diamondbacks, Cardinals, the Rattlers and the Suns for baseball, football and basketball fans. Yes, the city of Phoenix has won a place in my heart just as it has of nearly anyone whoâs been there. Just ask the approximately 4 million people in the Greater Phoenix area and theyâll echo the praises just as this author has. Itâs a little piece of Paradise on earth.
Filled with glorious landscapes and breathtaking views, Arizona is certainly one of America’s most recognizable focal points in the southwest. Known as the Grand Canyon State, the 48th state in the Union is widely diverse in its landscaping, as well as its own population. From pine-covered high country to its arid desert setting, visitors and residents alike seemingly find a unique charm not found in any other part of the country – hence the amount of attention Arizona MLS resources receive. Without a doubt, the great state of Arizona can accommodate the needs and desires of persons no matter where they’re at in life.
With tree-lined ridges and jagged cliffs in the north to dry plateaus and vast deserts in the south, the state of Arizona brings a wide variety of visitors. In 1540, Spanish explorer Coronado brought his expedition in search of Cibola, one of the famed Seven Cities of Gold. Over the years Spanish missionaries would visit in efforts to Christianize Native Americans and on February 24, 1864, the United States gained ownership of the territory. Many Mormons sent by Brigham Young established multiple settlements in Arizona and founded many cities including the likes of Prescott and Tempe. On February 14, 1912, Arizona officially became the 48th state in the Union. The economy initially flourished from the likes of cotton farming and copper mining, but in the wake of the Great Depression, much industry suffered like in so many other parts of the country. It was in the late 1920’s to 1930’s when the tourism industry began to gain steam and fueled much of the state’s growth. It wasn’t long after that the state became widely known for some of the best spa resorts in the entire country.
A large majority of the state’s residents find themselves taking residence in Phoenix. The city boasts a thriving metropolitan area with a growing and flourishing economy. From the Luke Air Force Base to nationally renowned golf destinations, Phoenix brings a wide variety of visitors and residents for different reasons. Many flock to the southwest for the dry climate and warm weather while others simply try to capture the mystique of the old west. Many outdoor enthusiasts can enjoy eye-catching landscapes at the surrounding state parks including Camelback Mountain and Papago Park. Phoenix is also the home to many professional sports clubs as well including the Phoenix Suns, Arizona Diamondbacks and Arizona Cardinals. It’s no wonder why Phoenix MLS resources garner so much attention.
Whether it’s the beautiful landscapes to the north or the vibrant city and suburban life found throughout Maricopa County, Arizona MLS resources are receiving increasing amounts of activity on a daily basis. And it’s no surprise as to why. Phoenix MLS resources are also getting a lot of notice based on everything that the city and its surrounding area have to offer. No matter what the draw might be, there simply is no argument that the state of Arizona is a unique setting and simply can provide a backdrop simply unmatched anywhere else in the southwest.

The Cardinals was founded in 1898 and a charter member of the National Football League. The team holds the distinction of being the oldest continuously - running professional football franchise in the US. It is one of two franchises still in operation since the league was founded. The club moved to St. Louis, Missouri, in 1960 and played in that city through 1987. It was also known as the “football Cardinals” back then, to avoid confusion with the St. Louis Cardinals (a baseball team). After 28 years in St. Louis, the Cardinals relocated to Arizona in the spring of 1988 and made Sun Devil Stadium of the Arizona State University as their new home. The 1995 season also marked another milestone when the Cardinals served as the host team for Super Bowl XXX at Sun Devil Stadium on January 28, 1996. The franchise’s lone NFL championship game victory came in 1947 while they were based in Chicago, and came two decades before the first Super Bowl game was ever played. The club’s other NFL championship occurred in 1925, eight years before the league began holding a championship game, and is a controversial title to this day. The much contested title was believed to belong to the Pottsville Maroons but was given to the Cardinals. The title is then called the 1925 NFL Championship controversy. Several decades since winning the championship in 1947, the Cardinals was qualified for the playoffs only six times and have won only five playoff games, three of which were achieved during their run in the 2008-09 NFL Playoffs in which they reached Super Bowl XLIII. The team has also won three division titles in 1974, 1975, and 2008 since their 1947-1948 NFL championship game appearances. In 2008, the team became the last NFC team since the 1970 AFL-NFL merger to reach the Conference Championship Game.
The roam to the 2006 kickoff was all about debuts, the Arizona Cardinal’s new stadium, the league’s 10 new head coaches, all the changes in teams and all the rookies with bright futures ahead. But the season’s first Sunday had nothing to do with the revelations we were all expecting.
Donovan McNabb was his usual self by tossing three touchdowns with the Eagles’ win. The day’s top two passers were a two quarterbacks who spent the end of last season on injured reserve, Chad Pennington, and McNabb. Carson Palmer didn’t put up the same kind of numbers, but he led Cincinnati to a win at Kansas City in his first real game back since his devastating knee injury suffered in last season’s playoffs.
Cleveland’s Kellen Winslow, who had missed 30 games due to an assortment of injuries during his first two seasons, had eight receptions and a touchdown in the Browns’ loss to New Orleans. Now to see the defense, Rodney Harrison’s knee managed to perform nine tackles in New England’s win over Buffalo, which got a sack and an early forced fumble (that was returned for a touchdown) from linebacker Takeo Spikes, coming back from an Achilles injury.
Some people are used to making a big deal out of the free agents and the rookies on the new teams they are in, they sometimes make the expectation grow so much that they are almost impossible to satisfy. The performances on the season opener week stroke as a reminder that on some occasions the essence of every team’s success can also rely on the once great players that are coming back from an injury, that are well established and balanced on their comebacks.
