Arizona Cardinals vs San Francisco 49ers Live Streaming

The San Francisco 49ers host the Arizona Cardinals, Monday Dec 14, as the Niners look to catch up to the Cardinals atop the NFC West. The Cardinals have won six of the last nine meetings.

The Cardinals (8-4) beat Minnesota 30-17 at home in Week 13 and sit atop the NFC West. QB Kurt Warner made 22 of 32 passes for 285 yards with three TD’s; overall he’s thrown for 3,003 yards with 23 TD’s and 11 interceptions for a 97. 2 passer rating. RB Timothy Hightower had six carries for 50 yards, while WR Larry Fitzgerald made eight catches for 143 yards with a TD. WR Anquan Boldin made seven catches for 98 yards with two TD’s. Their defense held the Vikings runners to 62 yards; they pulled down two interceptions and had two sacks on the day. Over his last four games, QB Kurt Warner has put up some unbelievable numbers, he has a 120-plus passer rating in four games with 12 TD’s and no interceptions . The Niners have the league’s 27th-ranked pass defense and they’ll be up against the Cardinals fifth ranked pass game. WR Larry Fitzgerald leads their receiving core with 969 yards receiving and 10 TD’s. The Cards don’t run the ball a lot with their 26th ranked ground game and they’ll be against the Niners tough fifth ranked rush defense. RB Beanie Wells leads NFC rookies with four rushing TDs. The Cardinals have averaged 22. 7ppg and allowed 16. 7ppg in their last three games. They are 5-1 SU on the road where they average 26. 8ppg and give up an average15. 2ppg. They are 8-4 ATS and 4-8 over/under.

The Niners (5-7) lost at Seattle 17-20 in Week 13 and sit second in the NFC West. QB Alex Smith made 27 of 45 passes for 310 yards with two TD’s; overall he’s thrown for 1,577 yards with 13 TD’s and seven interceptions for a 86. 7 passer rating. RB Frank Gore had nine carries for a low 25 yards, while TE Vernon Davis made six catches for 111 yards with a TD. WR Josh Morgan also added a TD. Their defense had four sacks on the day. The Niners 28th ranked running game, led by RB Frank Gore’s 668 yards rushing and nine TD’s, won’t get far against the Cardinals 12th ranked rush defense . RB Gore has been held scoreless in his last three games. The Niners have gone to more of a spread attack in recent weeks, and QB Alex Smith has been the primary beneficiary. Despite his impressive stats he has yet to lead his team to many victories. His next step will come by delivering in the clutch. The Niners should be able to move down field with their 22nd ranked pass game, led by TE Vernon Davis’ 781 yards receiving and 10 TD’s, against the Cards 30th ranked pass defense. TE Davis has a TD in his last three games. The Niners have averaged 20. 3ppg and allowed 17. 7ppg in their last three games. They are 4-2 SU at home where they average 20. 8ppg and allow 16. 3ppg. They are 7-3-2 ATS and 5-7 over/under.

Recent Trends to Consider:

* Cardinals are 4-0 ATS in their last 4 meetings in San Francisco. * Underdog is 6-1 ATS in their last 7 meetings. * Road team is 8-0 ATS in their last 8 meetings. * Cardinals are 6-1 ATS in their last 7 road games. * Cardinals are 4-1 ATS in their last 5 games overall.

Cardinal’s Shock With Their Super Victory Over Eagles

December 19 2009   Leave a Comment   Tags: , , , , , , ,

At the start, Cardinals jumped out with quite good lead behind good performances by the defense and offense. When game started cardinals were in high passions as they were able to put seven points on the score board while eagles were attempting to set it. By halftime, Eagles were able to drive into Cardinals territory i. e. in the red zone but they succeed in getting six points only. While Cardinals drove into the territory of Eagles three times and were able to get 17 points out of their sticking drives. After all eagles are the strong opponents, they were not ready to surrender easily. They came back with furious attack and took the lead from Cardinals in fourth quarter. In that time, Cardinals Answered with a championship-worthy and gusty drive that helped them to retook lead to win victoriously. Here are details of some guys who played like real heroes for Cardinals. Fitzgerald was the man for the Cardinals on Sunday. He had an awesome 9 receptions for 152 yards, which included 2 huge catches. He also set a single post-season record by receiving 419 yards. In doing so he beat the record set by the legendary Jerry Rice. This is one reason why this match is going into the list of historical football results. Cardinals have had their best season ever since 1933 as they beat Atlanta, Carolina and the Eagles in their playoff games. McNabb was also on fire. Thanks to his 62 yard throw to the novice DeSean Jackson, Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie was able to pass it onto Jackson who scored with just 10:45 left. This gave Philadelphia its 25-24 edge. Warner was 21-for-28 for 279 yards along with 4 TDs and McNabb finished with 27-for-46 for 375. yards. McNabb had his longest run of 22-yard since 2007. However, a motion penalty was given because of deafening noise in the stadium which put a harness on him. David Akers further improved his personal post-season record by scoring a 45-yard field goal which also happened to be his 19th straight. The Cardinals have a special skill for takeaways and this is what got the ball back for some precious time. Unfortunately, Aaron Francisco was held back on the runback by the Eagles’ Jackson. This resulted in a much-needed recovery for Philadelphia. Eagles got into serious trouble only a little while later when Warner pitched to J. J. Arrington who tossed it to the quarterback. The long pop-up pass by him was received by Fitzgerald after Quentin Demps fell. McNabb remained impassive and sent a pass to Kevin Curtis who sped down 47 yards with half of Arizona’s defenders chasing after him. They only caught up with him at the 19 which led to the setting up of Aker’s 33-yard. It was all for nothing for the Eagles as Fitzgerald remained unstoppable. His performance on Sunday has definitely earned him a place among football icons. A 1-yard TD catch put an end to Fitzgerald’s butchering of the Phillies. Stay in touch with the latest on this wild-card team. I see many more fireworks performances coming from them. Super Bowl Xliii - It’s the Steelers Against the Cardinals

November 29 2009   Leave a Comment   Tags: , , , , , ,

In the NFC, the Arizona Cardinals and Kurt Warner defeated the Philadelphia Eagles and Donovan Mcnabb with a score of 32-25 and finally book their place to Tampa by winning the division championship crown. They will have to face the Pittsburgh Steelers led by quarterback Ben Roethlisberger who showed their superiority over the Baltimore Ravens and Joe Flacco with a final score of 23-14. Here are some vital football facts that are interesting to recall come Super Bowl Day. The Super Bowl final is a game of surprised finalists. But this match can draw in the crowds. People may want to check out the Cardinals or they may go to the more established franchise with the Steelers. The Cardinals are the first No. 4 seed to host an NFC Championship game and are seen to be the underdogs. The Steelers are a big franchise with so much history and are gunning for their sixth Super Bowl. Both are not known to be exceptional teams in running offenses and have average rushing yards totals. The teams do not have a long standing history of matches played against each other where in they can pick up pointers when it comes to offensive tactics and defenses that each team can anticipate to throw against each other. Injuries shall also be a key factor between the two sides. The Cardinals have to monitor linebacker Travis LaBoy who aside from battling an ankle injury for almost a month, has picked up a biceps injury and his status is up for evaluation. Others in the Cardinal squad who are not 100 percent but are looking forward to the two week break to give their bodies the time to recover are defensive end Antonio Smith with a right knee injury, Anquan Boldin, who has a bad hamstring and punter Ben Graham who played last Sunday with a groin injury. For the Steelers, wide receiver Hines Ward sprained his right knee, Mewelde Moore has an ankle sprain and safety Ryan Clarke may have suffered a concussion. When it comes to defenses, particularly blitzing, Cardinals QB Warner was the best quarterback in the league in escaping the blitz. He made 134 of 208 attempted passes for a total of 1,645 yards and 14 touchdowns during blitz situations. He has the skill to throw the ball quickly and shows enormous courage when in the pocket while for his receivers to be free from their markers. The Steelers meanwhile do not have a quarterback  who is exceptional at blitzes like Warner. Roethlisberger has compiled 95 of 180 for 1,158 yards with five touchdowns and five interceptions against blitzes in the regular season. He even has 29 sacks in 209 dropbacks during the regular season. As of Super Bowls of the past, the most interesting match up shall be against the quarterbacks. A team’s success and demise shall depend on how they play. Warner for the Cardinals will be the experienced one but Roethlisberger shall have the opportunity to join the ranks of the top quarterbacks in history. Warner has stats of 8-2 playoff record, has 22 touchdowns at this time with 13 interceptions. Roethlisberger is 7-2, has already won a Super Bowl before and is going for his second. If you are an American football NFL fan, don’t miss this. Catch the live Super Bowl scores at scorespro. com/football.

Nfl - Cardinal’s Shock Eagles

November 29 2009   Leave a Comment   Tags: , ,

As I kept track of Sundays football results, I waited with baited breath as one of the founding teams of the NFL, that had long been written off as one of the most dysfunctional side ever, found its lost niche and won the match. Winning last night meant that the Cardinals were finally headed towards their first championship game in years in Tampa. The Arizona Cardinals lost no time in capitalizing on 3 touchdown receptions by Larry Fitzgerald in the first half. They further showed great perseverance when Kurt Warner made a pass to Tim Hightower at 8-yards who made no mistakes scoring off it with just 2:53 left. This proved to be the match winning point and they defeated Philadelphia Eagles by 32-25 to reach the NFC championship. Warner was beyond himself with joy and asked rhetorically, “The Arizona Cardinals in the Super Bowl. How about it?”The Cardinals who have had a record of 12-7 so far will be playing against current AFC champions Pittsburgh Steelers. The match will take place in 2 weeks time in Tampa which will decide who takes this year’s NFL title. I almost shouted with agony as I saw Donovan McNabb, who played a huge role in containing Philadelphia’s lead in the second half of the game form 18 points to only 25-24, misfire from the midfield not once or twice but 4 times in the final moments of the game. At the beginning of the game I was a little apprehensive about how the Cardinals were going to handle the atmosphere in their hometown. But I was in for a surprise. They played like professionals and except for a mess-up in the second half when they blew the 24-6 lead; they remained unperturbed by their surroundings. Warner saw to it that no one was left in any doubt regarding the new spirit that his team had recently been imbibed with and, with an on-the-mark 72 yards drive, he turned the tables around on the Eagles with a TD pass which happened to be his 4th of the day. He also made up for his previous mistakes by making an 8-yard pass to Hightower and getting a 2-point conversion by hitting Ben Patrick. This achievement tingles Arizona fans with enthusiasm and unfamiliar sensation. It was not an easy game, after all eagles are considered a very good team but the outstanding performance of cardinals at the end plays quite effective role to emerge victory. Watching this sensational game at studio, I could not make myself stop of raising noise in the favor of Cardinals as they did a wonderful job of making high score in the early. In this way they bring back their fans early in the game. But the encouragement and creditability of crowd in the favor of Cardinals keep the adrenaline flowing for them. Prop up to all persons who created a sensation atmosphere in the game.

Arizona Cardinals

The Cardinals was founded in 1898 and a charter member of the National Football League. The team holds the distinction of being the oldest continuously - running professional football franchise in the US. It is one of two franchises still in operation since the league was founded. The club moved to St. Louis, Missouri, in 1960 and played in that city through 1987. It was  also known as the “football Cardinals” back then, to avoid confusion with the St. Louis Cardinals (a baseball team). After 28 years in St. Louis, the Cardinals relocated to Arizona in the spring of 1988 and made Sun Devil Stadium of the Arizona State University as their new home. The 1995 season also marked another milestone when the Cardinals served as the host team for Super Bowl XXX at Sun Devil Stadium on January 28, 1996. The franchise’s lone NFL championship game victory came in 1947 while they were based in Chicago, and came two decades before the first Super Bowl game was ever played. The club’s other NFL championship occurred in 1925, eight years before the league began holding a championship game, and is a controversial title to this day. The much contested title was believed to belong to the Pottsville Maroons but was given to the Cardinals. The title is then called the 1925 NFL Championship controversy. Several decades since winning the championship in 1947, the Cardinals was qualified for the playoffs only six times and have won only five playoff games, three of which were achieved during their run in the 2008-09 NFL Playoffs in which they reached Super Bowl XLIII. The team has also won three division titles in 1974, 1975, and 2008 since their 1947-1948 NFL championship game appearances. In 2008, the team became the last NFC team since the 1970 AFL-NFL merger to reach the Conference Championship Game.

The Roam to the 2006 Kickoff Was All About Debuts, the Arizona Cardinal’s New Stadium, the League’s 10 New Head Coaches

The roam to the 2006 kickoff was all about debuts, the Arizona Cardinal’s new stadium, the league’s 10 new head coaches, all the changes in teams and all the rookies with bright futures ahead. But the season’s first Sunday had nothing to do with the revelations we were all expecting.

Donovan McNabb was his usual self by tossing three touchdowns with the Eagles’ win. The day’s top two passers were a two quarterbacks who spent the end of last season on injured reserve, Chad Pennington, and McNabb. Carson Palmer didn’t put up the same kind of numbers, but he led Cincinnati to a win at Kansas City in his first real game back since his devastating knee injury suffered in last season’s playoffs.

Cleveland’s Kellen Winslow, who had missed 30 games due to an assortment of injuries during his first two seasons, had eight receptions and a touchdown in the Browns’ loss to New Orleans. Now to see the defense, Rodney Harrison’s knee managed to perform nine tackles in New England’s win over Buffalo, which got a sack and an early forced fumble (that was returned for a touchdown) from linebacker Takeo Spikes, coming back from an Achilles injury.

Some people are used to making a big deal out of the free agents and the rookies on the new teams they are in, they sometimes make the expectation grow so much that they are almost impossible to satisfy. The performances on the season opener week stroke as a reminder that on some occasions the essence of every team’s success can also rely on the once great players that are coming back from an injury, that are well established and balanced on their comebacks.
